Unlike typical electric blankets that require 120 volts, this heated throw provides consistent warmth using only 16 volts for optimal safety. Despite its low energy consumption, the throw produces even heat across its entire surface without the hot or cold spots common in lesser models. The tethered controller automatically shuts off the throw after 10 hours, and a microchip embedded in the controller detects overheating and automatically decreases the temperature.
